Taylor’s “BlueSteel”

September 26, 2006

We have been so blessed by Taylor’s Aunt Jeanne & her cousin Kaia to receive TONS of adorable clothes given to us that Kaia has now outgrown.  One particularly cute shirt was a pink “Von Dutch” long sleeve and I had to do an impromtu photo session with Taylor looking like such a “big girl”.

However, she started doing this really goofy face in several of the shots – as you can see, eyes-closed, with a smile on her face… i had to put up the pictures for you to see.  I guess this is her “BlueSteel”!

Family Nite

September 11, 2006

As we do most Sundays, we spent the evening with my mom just to do dinner and hang out.  I don’t have much to report, but did think I should put up a picture of my ever-growing-tummy.  We just had an ultrasound this week and Macy is just under 1 pound and is probably about 10-11 inches long!  No wonder my tummy is gettin bigger!

No elephants or tigers, but a zoo, nonetheless….

August 22, 2006

With a free Monday for my mom, Ashley, me and Taylor, we decided to make the most of the nice weather and venture out to the little-known Santa Ana Zoo.  I was sure they would have a small collection of the standard zoo favorites – giraffes, tigers, hippos, elephants, and gorillas.  On the way to the zoo, I was telling Taylor all about the animals we were going to see…

The good news is that with adult admission being only $6, you really don’t feel that gypped, when you learn that it’s really a glorified petting zoo with a few monkeys and a rescued bald-eagle that accompany the pigs, goats, sheep and one cow.

We all did enjoy the train ride around the farm animal exhibit, hosted by a very cute retired conductor!

However, we all had a great time, and at 16 months, Taylor was none-the-wiser.  Maybe when she’s two, we’ll try the impressive LA or San Diego Zoo!!

These boots were made for walkin…

August 11, 2006

Any mother of a little girl will tell you that buying clothes for your daugther is always fun… Steal of the week are the cutest darn hot-pink-cowgirl-boots available at Target! I bought them in two sizes, so when she out-grows the first pair, we’ll have a back-up ready to go!

Enjoy Taylor’s cute chubby legs in her (okay, my) new favorite shoes!!

Our little one!

August 11, 2006

A nice benefit of owning an ultrasound machine, is you really can see how much your baby is changing as she grows in utero!

Macy is now 17 weeks gestation and is about 5 inches (head to bottom) and probably around 8oz!

She’s a little skinny, but we think she is beautiful!

over-the-what??

August 7, 2006

Kim, Dave & cake!

Well, it has happened!! Dave is officially an old man!  last weekend we celebrated his surprise 40th birthday party with a blind-wine-tasting party at our house on Saturday night!  Amazingly, we pulled off a surprise and had 30 friends waiting at our home to raz him about being over-the-hill!!

As they say, 40 is the new 30, so really we can do this all over again in another ten years, because I guess that makes 50 the new 40!

Happy birthday, Dave and thank you to all our friends and family who were here to celebrate with us! Read the rest of this entry »

Costa Mesa = Classy!

July 30, 2006

After much hard work, the Costa Mesa location of Before the Stork is open!  We are really happy with the way it turned out, and as you can see, there was much work to be done when we took the space over!

Before - Lots of work to be done!

Big Raz

July 30, 2006

It has been confirmed! Our new baby (due mid-January) is a GIRL!!! After a false “Boy” confirmation, we are sure that the newest addition to our family will be a sister for Taylor! Dave is bonding with our dog, Hogan, and for now they will remain the only two men in the house!

We are just over 15 weeks pregnant and I have finally “popped”! It seems a week ago, I wasn’t showing at all and in no time at all, my tummy has started looking very obviously pregnant!!

We haven’t decided on a name for our newest little girl yet, but Macy Ryann is a top contender!
